As president and CEO of Clean Energy Capital, LLC, Scott Brittenham leads the Tucson, Arizona, firm in its pursuit of investments in the biofuels, biomass, renewable chemicals, and agribusiness sectors. Scott Brittenham enjoys many of Tucson’s cultural attractions and regularly attends the Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO).
In addition to its schedule of performances, the TSO offers a number of educational programs designed to engage children and expose them to the arts. The orchestra’s KinderKonzerts! program, for example, features 45-minute concerts by the TSO Chamber Orchestra. In 2014, the short concerts explored the theme of “Music Tells a Story,” focusing on the ways musical elements combine to create a sense of character, mood, and action.
Open to students in kindergarten through second grade, KinderKonzerts! brings together more than 3,200 students and 150 teachers each year. Participating teachers receive the TSO’s Making Music Mine curriculum, allowing them to integrate the performance into lessons on classical music, fiction, and storytelling.
