The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha has been repeatedly ranked as one of America’s top zoos by several publications. It also offers a “Skyfari” ride, which takes visitors through the park above many of the exhibits, providing a new view of the animals. Nebraska City’s Arbor Day Farm, which sits on the original 260-acre estate of Arbor Day founder J. Sterling Morton, offers overnight lodging, a spa, and an Olympic-sized pool for relaxing. It is home to a 50-foot-tall tree house, forested hiking trails, and a greenhouse, creating a unique experience for everyone.

The Strategic Air and Space Museum, located in Ashland, is home to a wide collection of space artifacts and military aircraft. The Museum was first organized in 1959, and has since grown into a 300,000-square-foot education, event, and exhibit space for visitors of all ages. Another popular museum is in Lincoln: the University of Nebraska State Museum of Natural History and Mueller Planetarium. It includes one of the world’s best fossil elephant collections, along with artifacts from African and Native American cultures.
